But for one, I just watched the last Gossip Girl episode of the year on Monday. Now I'm not one to go crazy over girly shows like Gossip Girl, but it is a good show, the books are great, and it talks about the troubles of being a low class teenager and keeping up with the high class school you go to, which is something I, myself, face everyday.
I have to admit that I have sometimes been disappointed by some of the episodes. I'm not the best actor in the world but boy, can I critisize a performance...
But this episode was PHENOMENAL, and I don't use that word often, if ever. Chuck's (Ed Westwick's) performance was outstanding, being broken down from his father's death and scheming to find his step-mother's past while handling his love and strange relationship with Blair Waldorf (Leeighton Meester) was very well portrayed. His hatred for Lily Bass, his step-mother, and Rufus Humphrey was shown throughout the episode.
One thing I wasn't too pleased with was the Dan/Serena/Aaron situation. But I do think Serena made the right decision in finally giving her mom the chance that she deserved.
Lots of things in that episode made me really sad, almost to the brink of crying... which is an accomplishment, trust me.
*Blair finally said the three big words Chuck has been begging her to say since the last season, but Chuck is so taken over by his father's death he let's go of what is most important to him. The exact lines were:
Blair: Because I love you, Chuck
Chuck: Well, that's just too bad *drives away in limo*
It's heart-wrenching because of how much they've been through and how long they've waited...
*Lily's mother telling Rufus something he should have known a long time ago because she knew it would have been impossible for them to have a relationship if that was hidden.
Before Bart (Chuck's dad) died, he found out why Lily had gone to a hospital in France. Apparently, she found out she was pregnant with Rufus's baby, but left to France because her mother made her choose between him or her inheritance. So she ran to France, delivered, and left it there, up for adoption.
*Last, but definitley not least, there was the song "Everytime" by Lincoln Hawk, Rufus's band in Gossip Girl. The worlds are simply perfect and the emotion of the song makes it even better.
But besides that, there's not much going on. Scrubs is finally coming back in January, I am so psyched for that. I don't have a lot of time but there's only a week and a half left before winter break. What's everybody doing?
I MIGHT, go to England and Spain, if I do I'll be sure to take some pics!
